The centre-half completed the full game once again, with the States now set to take on either Mexico or Honduras in the tournament semi-finals on Saturday, October 10.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, goalkeeper Tom Glover was back between the sticks for Australia Under-19s for their AFC Under-19 Championship Qualifier against Japan. His side slipped to a 3-0 defeat, but previous victories against the Philippines and Laos in Group J mean the Young Socceroos have qualified for the tournament finals in second place.

Harry Winks and Nathan Oduwa are with England Under-20s in Germany for their opening match of the Mercedes-Benz Elite Cup against the Netherlands today (Wednesday, October 7).

Elsewhere, Milos Veljkovic and Serbia Under-21s face a home European qualifier against Andorra while England Under-17s, who include Marcus Edwards, Kazaiah Sterling and Alfie Whiteman in their squad, take on DR Congo in a home friendly as they step up their preparations for the forthcoming FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
