Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Paul Robinson kept another clean sheet, while Ledley King and Jermain Defoe got a taste of the action as England as England remain on course for the World Cup finals following a 2-0 victory over Azerbaijan on Wednesday night.

Steven Gerrard and David Beckham scored the goals in what was not quite the routine thumping many were predicting beforehand, but England stay a point ahead of Poland - 1-0 victors over Northern Ireland - at the top of Group 6.

Ledley was introduced on 77 minutes in place of Rio Ferdinand, with Jermain taking over from Beckham with seven minutes left on the clock.

Still with England, Phil Ifil featured for the under-19s in the 1-0 win over Moldova at Bloomfield Road, completing a successful international period for the group who had already qualified for the European finals with earlier victories over Denmark and Sweden by the same scoreline.

England under-17s booked their place in the European Championships with a 3-1 win over the Republic of Ireland at the Bescot Stadium. David Button and Leigh Mills were part of the team that also recorded a third win in the international break.

It has not been such a happy week for Simon Davies as Wales suffered their second defeat to Austria, losing by single goal with Rene Aufhauser snatching a dramatic late winner.
