Defender Paul Stalteri - matchwinner recently at West Ham - had his goalscoring boots on again by netting the second goal in Canada's 3-0 friendly win against Bermuda in Hamilton, Bermuda on Sunday.

In African Nations Cup 2008 qualifying, Hossam Ghaly - on target against Watford - struck the third goal as defending champions Egypt beat Mauritania 3-0 in Cairo. Egypt are now three points clear of Botswana in their qualifying group.

In action this week

Five players are involved in Euro 2008 qualifying matches on Wednesday night. Paul Robinson, Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe have travelled from Tel Aviv to Barcelona, where they will play Andorra in the Olympic Stadium, home of Espanyol, on Wednesday night.
