International round-up

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

It was a quite a night for Tottenham players on international duty.

Gary Doherty and Sergei Rebrov scored for Ireland and Ukraine respectively while Teddy Sheringham forced an own goal after coming on as subtitute for England.

Steffen Iversen and Oyvind Leonhardsen added to their Norwegian caps while the only Spurs player who might argue that it wasn't the best of nights was goalkeeper Kasey Keller - he was beaten by Doherty's late header as Ireland beat USA 2-1 in Dublin.

He must be wondering what his team-mates have got against him - the last time he was on USA duty, in Germany, Christian Ziege curled home a free-kick from 30 yards!

Kasey is battling it out with Blackburn's Brad Friedel to take the number one spot in the World Cup and they played a half each in Dublin.

Teddy came on for Darius Vassell after 67 minutes and barely put a foot wrong against Paraquay, linking play superbly and making a delightful run into the box in an attempt to reach Robbie Fowler's pass - it ended up in the net off a Paraquay defender for England's fourth goal in the comfortable 4-0 win at Anfield.

Sergei scored the opening goal in Ukraine's 2-1 win against Georgia while Steffen and Leo both started in Norway's goalless draw against Sweden.
