Luka Modric was on target as Croatia breezed past Andorra in World Cup 2010 qualifying on Wednesday night.
It was a predictable yet needed 4-0 win for Croatia after England - having beaten the Croats 4-1 in Zagreb - made it four wins out of four in Group Six with a 3-1 win in Belarus.
Luka, who earlier missed a penalty, scored the third goal against Andorra and put in another 90-minute shift alongside Vedran Corluka.
Jermaine Jenas didn't feature in England's win.
Gareth Bale and Chris Gunter were in the Wales side that made Germany fight all the way for a 1-0 victory in Group Two.
Indeed, Chris had a chance to level the scores late on when Craig Bellamy burst to the byline and cut the ball back for the raiding full-back but his shot was blocked.
In the end, Germany had to rely on a thunderbolt from Piotr Trochowski in the 72nd minute to secure victory at Borussia Park Stadium.
Giovani and Paul Stalteri met as Canada hosted Mexico in North, Central America and Caribbean qualifying.
Both played 90 minutes and the 2-2 draw meant Gio's country now need just a point against Honduras to progress to the final qualifying stages. Six teams go into that final qualifying stage with the top three through to South Africa and the fourth in a play-off against the fifth-placed South American team.
