Rafa became only the fifth player to reach a century of caps for Holland, following Edwin van der Sar, Frank de Boar, Giovani van Bronckhorst and Philip Cocu.
However, it wasn't the best night on the pitch for the Dutch - with Rafa's Spurs team-mate Jan Vertonghen amongst the goalscorers as Belgium came from 2-1 down to win 4-2 in Brussells.
Jan played the full 90 minutes while Rafa was substituted early in the second half.
It was a great night for Spurs players on England duty in Switzerland as Jermain Defoe struck the winner, Jake Livermore won his first cap and Kyle Walker played the full 90 minutes as the Three Lions toppled Italy 2-1. Steven Caulker, like Jake, called into the senior squad for the first time, was an unused substitute.
Gareth Bale played 62 minutes as Wales suffered a 2-0 loss to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Gylfi Sigurdsson played the full 90 as Iceland beat the Faroe Islands 2-0.
Elsewhere, Luka Modric played 20 minutes as Croatia lost 4-2 at home to Switzerland and Sandro came on for the last couple of minutes as Brazil beat Sweden 3-0 in Stockholm.
