Jermain Defoe, Paul Robinson and Aaron Lennon all played as Steve McClaren kicked-off his era as England boss with a friendly win against Greece.

Striker Jermain was involved in two of England's four goals - all scored in the first half - as he played 68 minutes of the 4-0 victory at Old Trafford.

Robbo barely had a touch in his 45-minute stint as he recorded another clean sheet before being replaced by new cap Chris Kirkland in goal at half-time.

Aaron came on when Jermain was taken off and had a couple of his typical darting runs at the Greece defence whose general ploy to stop him was to take him down.

Jermaine Jenas and Michael Dawson were unused substitutes.

Elsewhere, Marton Fulop was on the bench as Hungary beat Austria 2-1 in a friendly and Reto Ziegler played 68 minutes as Switzerland beat Denmark 3-2 in a European Under-21 qualifier.
