Our international players experienced mixed fortunes in Euro 2012 qualifying on Friday night.

It was good news for Scott Parker, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Younes Kaboul, Rafa van der Vaart and Gareth Bale but not so good for our Croatian trio of Vedran Corluka, Niko Kranjcar and Luka Modric.

Niko and Luka played 90 minutes and Vedran 76 minutes as Croatia lost a key match 2-0 against Greece in Piraeus.

It means Greece go back to the top of Group F and Croatia will now need the Greeks to lose their final group match in Georgia on Tuesday night and beat Latvia at home to finish top of the group and qualify automatically for the finals in Poland/Ukraine next summer. Otherwise, they will be in the play-offs.

Russia need just a point against minnows Andorra to win Group B after a 1-0 win against Slovakia on Friday night. 'Pav' played for 87 minutes and had a couple of early chances but it needed Alan Dzago's 70th-minute goal to secure a key win.

In Group D, Younes Kaboul's France beat Albania 3-0 and now need to avoid defeat in their final, crunch group match against Bosnia & Herzgovina to win the group. Younes played the full 90 minutes at the Stade de France.

Scott played 90 minutes as England secured the point they needed against Montenegro to top Group G.

In the same group, Gareth Bale played a full shift and scored the second goal as Wales impressed again, beating Switzerland 2-0 in Swansea.

Sent clear by Steve Morison, Gareth finished clinically to secure another fine home win for the Welsh.

Finally, Rafa played 78 minutes as Holland made it nine wins out of nine in Group E with a 1-0 success over Moldova in Rotterdam.
