Harry Winks came off the bench as England Under-19s drew with Germany in an otherwise quiet Monday night for our players on international duty.

The young development squad midfielder replaced Deli Alli of MK Dons in the 69th minute as both teams had chances to clinch victory in the friendly played in Oberhausen.

Middlesbrough's Bradley Fewster opened the scoring for England on 35 minutes with Timo Werner responding for the hosts. Fewster then had a penalty saved and Ashley Smith-Brown struck the woodwork as it stayed 1-1.

Elsewhere, Danny Rose and Andros Townsend remained on the bench as England's senior team made the perfect start in qualifying for Euro 2016 with a 2-0 win in Switzerland, Danny Welbeck with both goals.

Jordan Archer didn't feature in Scotland's final Euro Under-21 qualifier against Luxembourg with manager Billy Stark opting to give experience to Hearts' goalkeeper Jack Hamilton instead. Jonathan Henly was on the bench. Scotland won 3-0 to finish third in the group. Jordan played in Thursday's draw in Slovakia.

Harry Kane, Tom Carroll and Alex Pritchard will hope to feature in England's final Under-21 qualifier in Moldova on Tuesday night. The Young Lions top Group One with eight wins and a draw in nine games so far and will take their place in the play-offs to determine the finalists in October.

Two of our players could meet in Euro U21 qualifying as Aaron McEneff's Northern Ireland take on Milos Veljkovic's Serbia in Portadown on Tuesday. Northern Ireland are bottom of Group Nine but Serbia could yet make it into the play-offs.

Back to senior European qualifying and Ben Davies will be hoping to add to his 10 caps as Wales kick-off off their Euro 2016 campaign in Andorra.
