Having been named in Argentina’s squad for the forthcoming Copa America, Erik Lamela and his nation will warm up for that showpiece tournament with a home friendly against Bolivia this Saturday, June 6. The competition itself sees Argentina face Paraguay (June 13), Uruguay (June 17) and Jamaica (June 20).
Also on Saturday, Emmanuel Adebayor’s Togo take on Ghana in a friendly in advance of a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia on Saturday, June 13.
DeAndre Yedlin, meanwhile, is in the USA squad for their friendly in the Netherlands on Friday, June 5, with a further European test against Germany coming up for Jurgen Klinsmann’s side next Wednesday, June 10.
On Sunday, June 7, there’s Spurs interest on both sides as France play host to Belgium in an international friendly in Paris. Hugo Lloris is in Les Bleus’ squad with Jan Vertonghen, Nacer Chadli and Mousa Dembele among the Belgium ranks.
The Red Devils then travel to Wales for a Euro 2016 qualifier the following Friday, June 12, while Hugo and France visit Albania for a friendly match on Saturday, June 13.
Elsewhere this Sunday, Ryan Mason and Andros Townsend are in the England squad for an away friendly against Republic of Ireland, with a Euro 2016 qualifier away to Slovenia coming up the following Sunday, June 14.
On Monday, June 8, Christian Eriksen’s Denmark host Montenegro as they prepare for a home Euro 2016 qualifier against Serbia the following Saturday (June 13). Also on that Saturday, Vlad Chiriches’ Romania visit Northern Ireland in a Euro 2016 qualifier while Nabil Bentaleb is in the Algeria squad for a home 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.
At Under-21 level, Harry Kane, Tom Carroll and Alex Pritchard have been named in the final squad for England’s European Under-21 Championship campaign later this month, with the group set for a home warm-up match against Belarus on Thursday, June 11. The Young Lions face Portugal (June 18), Sweden (June 21) and Italy (June 24) in the group stage of the tournament finals in Czech Republic.
Cameron Carter-Vickers and Milos Veljkovic have already got their respective FIFA Under-20 World Cup campaigns underway in New Zealand with the United States and Serbia respectively.
