Martin Jol reports that Wayne Routledge, Anthony Gardner and Goran Bunjevcevic are all progressing well after longer-term injuries.

All three are running again as Anthony recovers from rupturing his thigh muscle at Aston Villa and both Wayne and Goran come back from breaking a bone in a foot.

“Wayne is doing well,†said Head Coach Martin. “He’s coming back in three or four weeks and he will give Aaron Lennon and Teemu Tainio good competition for places.

He did very well in pre-season and hopefully he’ll be back soon

“Anthony perhaps needs another week but he’s doing well because he had a bad injury and he’s recovering well and Goran will only be another couple of weeks with the fracture in his toe.â€Â

The down side on the injury front are injuries to loaned players Dean Marney and Mounir El Hamdaoui.

Striker Mounir suffered a dislocated shoulder at Derby County while midfielder Dean has picked up an Achilles injury on duty for Norwich City.
