Injury crisis deepens

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle has been left reeling by more injuries as he turns his attentions to Tuesday's Worthington Cup tie against Cardiff City.

Christian Ziege looks certain to miss the second round encounter at the Lane and the boss has a further three players doubtful. With 12 players already out, it will stretch the squad to the limit.

Defender Christian limped out of Saturday's defeat against Middlesbrough after only 12 minutes and Glenn revealed after the game that Kasey Keller - who limped away from the ground - Jamie Redknapp and Milenko Acimovic were also struggling for Tuesday night.

Glenn revealed: "Christian strained his calf muscle, Kasey has a calf problem as well and both Milo and Jamie have knocks. All four are doubtful for Tuesday.

"The list gets longer and longer but they are the facts and we have to get used tothem.

"Whatever team we put out on Tuesday has to give every ounce of effort to get through this cup tie. We've all got to dig in deep and we have to turn the corner on Tuesday."
