Injury concerns

Posted on 4 March 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle has revealed a number of niggling injuries that threaten to wreck his planning for Wednesday's trip to Old Trafford.

Simon Davies, Les Ferdinand, Tim Sherwood and Oyvind Leonhardsen are the players in doubt while the boss has ruled out Steffen Iversen (groin) and Darren Anderton (hamstring).

Speaking at Spurs Lodge after training today, Glenn reported: "Simon Davies is 50-50, Les is very doubtful, Steffen Iversen and Darren Anderton won't be fit, Leo has picked up a calf problem and Tim Sherwood has a slight groin strain.

"They've picked up knocks that could possible keep them out on Wednesday although they might be fit for the weekend.

"The squad is dwindling at the moment and one place you want to go with your strongest team is Old Trafford. It doesn't look like we'll be able to do that."

Look out for more from Glenn on United tomorrow.
