The boss has already stated that he believes we're good enough to qualify for Europe but insists further injuries could make it a real test of the squad.
"We're in a decent position," he said before tonight's clash against Fulham. "There are fixtures that we've got to look at and really take the bull by the horns and try to get the points on the board.
"But I think it comes down to key players not getting injured.
"At the moment we've got too many for my liking and we can't afford many more.
"If we can get a few of them back and keep the squad as it is then I think we've got a good chance of getting into Europe. I believe the squad is good enough.
"But it depends. If we get a few more players injured in key areas it will be a real test and made more difficult for us.
"So a bit of good fortune on that front would steer us nicely into a position where we can achieve it. If that doesn't happen it will be difficult even though we're in a good position now."
Glenn Hoddle says injuries could be the key to our European bid for the rest of the season.
