Information for supporters travelling to CSKA Moscow for Champions League matchday two

Posted on 5 September 2016  - 16:00

Supporters who have applied for a ticket to our Champions League fixture with CSKA Moscow at Arena CSKA on September 27 are advised that a valid visa is a mandatory requirement of entry into the country.

The visa requirements have changed since our last visit to Russia in 2013 and now contain a biometric element that requires a personal visit to the Visa Application Centre (VAC)

Your passport must have a minimum of six months’ validity to enable a visa to be processed.

In order to obtain a visa, you will first need a ‘tourist visa voucher’ which can be provided by any tour/tourist company (charges may apply) in the UK handling Russian visas or through selected hotels – please check when making your hotel reservations.

You will also be required to provide full details of your travel plans and accommodation at the time of applying.

Further details on the visa application process can be found through the links below alongside more general advice on travelling to Russia:

These pages also contain information and links on how to sign up to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) travel and security SMS alerts for visiting Russia. We recommend that supporters travelling to Russia utilise these services to keep up to date with any changes to the latest travel and security advice.

We do regret that we are unable to offer any official transport to this match.

Match tickets will be held for collection at the venue. You must bring photo ID with you in order to collect your tickets and no exceptions can be made to this process.

Further advice and information regarding this match will be provided to travelling supporters closer to the matchday.
