The normal area set aside for away fans is the west end of the South Stand. The maximum capacity for this area is 3,000 fans (the minimum allocation under the rules of the Barclays Premiership). As the safety of both sets of supporters is our highest priority, it is essential that we maintain the normal procedures with regard to segregation. Therefore, it is not possible to place 3,000 Southend supporters in the west end of the South Stand as normal and the remaining 2,500 in another part of White Hart Lane.
As a result, for this match, all 5,500 Southend fans will be placed in the east end and central areas of the South Stand. Therefore, Season Ticket Holders in both the upper and lower tiers of the South Stand will be relocated to other areas of the ground as follows:
- Season Ticket Holders in east and central areas of the South Stand Upper Tier will all be relocated to seats in the west end of the South Stand Upper Tier.
- Half of the Season Ticket Holders in east and central areas of the South Stand Lower Tier will be relocated to seats in the west end of the South Stand Lower Tier.
- The other half of the Season Ticket Holders in east and central areas of the South Stand Lower Tier will be relocated to seats in the block 24 in the East Stand Lower Tier and block 9 and block 16 of the West Stand Lower Tier.
Please note, the ticket price for all South Stand Season Ticket Holders, no matter where in the ground they are relocated to, will still be £20, the same price as a ticket in the South Stand for this match.
South Stand Season Ticket Holders wishing to purchase their seats for the Southend match will not be able to do so on-line due to being relocated. They should call the Ticket Office on 0870 420 5000 stating that they are a South Stand Season Ticket Holder. The operator will then be able to inform them of their new location for the match.
Season Ticket Holders on Autopay will be debited in the usual way, so there is no need to contact the Ticket Office. The initial Autopay run will happen overnight on Tuesday November 21.
Please also note that every effort is being made to ensure that people who are relocated remain sitting with the same Season Ticket Holders that they sit with at each match.
These changes will be made with the safety of ALL the supporters attending this match in mind and the Club would like to thank all our supporters for their understanding in this matter.
On Wednesday December 20 we face Southend at home in the quarter-final of the Carling Cup. Due to the rules of the competition, we are required to give Southend an allocation of 5,500 tickets for the match, equal to 15% of our stadium.
