I confess that once I cheered Arsenal on in the FA Cup final against Liverpool. I know it is not an excuse but it was because my mate was a Liverpool fan. But Arsenal lost anyway. But, whatever happens, I shall never be cheering Arsenal on again.
I was at a footie match and it had finished, I couldn't find my way out and it took me an hour. I had enough so I thought 'right that's it'. So I just walked across the middle of the pitch to get to the entrance out. Then all of the stewards came running up to me saying 'I suppose you think this is funny'. I just said 'no, not really I just want to go home!'
I have never had the chance to go to White Hart Lane yet - and it has been a dream of mine since I started supporting them. Anyway, last season when Chelsea came to the Lane, I had chosen that game to be my first one. A few of us was planning to go up, my friends went but I had last minute doubt and the old hoodoo with Chelsea came up and i wa worried that my first game would be a loss. You know what happened next... I was watching the game at home and my friends rang from the ground on every single goal, every single time quoting "wish you were here". The moral is, if you get the chance to see your team - take it.
