Cheering a goal for A*****l. In the 1998-99 season we played the A**e late in the season. The same night the mancs were playing at Anfield & the A**e had to win to win the league. They beat us 3-1 on the night & I was so happy as I thought that they would stop man utd winning the league. Even though the mancs drew 2-2 with Liverpool that night, they went on to win the league & I was left gutted having cheered for A*****l against us. I still haven't forgiven myself.
My confession is that I am in love with Simon Davies. I think that he is a great football player and very good looking.
This is humiliating, but I hope that admitting it will prove to be cathartic. The first English football match I ever saw was the Tony Adams' testimonial vs Crystal Palace. I was in London on vacation in August of 1994 and Spurs - who had just signed Klinnsman who I was dying to see - were on tour or something and unavailable. Anyway the only memorable thing about the match - besides the Palace fans singing in the tube station was Adams' kids bursting into tears when he took them out for a round of applause at the beginning of the match. Doubtless they were already aware of the dross they were going to be subjected to and wanted no part of it.
I confess that I can't start a new season with Spurs UNLESS I have bought the newest shirt... Sad but true, so I can't enjoy a Spurs game before I receive it...
I confess!! I wanted to see the Spurs against Arsenal away last season and a mate had tickets but wait, it was in the North Bank with all the bloody Gooners and it was a nightmare listening to all those gooner fans shouting abuse at the Spurs and not being able to do anything about it - never will I do that again.
