I was in Lagos Nigeria (Jan 2000 ) for the last African Nations Cup. I was one of those who gave Kanu a stanging ovation when he went past three Cameroon defenders. I know he was wearing a green shirt at the time but the guilt is to much for me to handle. With the African Nations Cup up for grabs again and the World Cup also not far away I face a problem of if I should chear Kanu or not. I confess, I have divided loylties - please forgive me fellow Tottenham faithfuls, my blood is both blue and green.
As a Spurs fan my self this is truly the unforgivable sin. I've had a girlfriend who supports that other north London team, which I cannot mention. I've also been close to going out with another gooner but as soon as I found out who she supported I naturally backed right off! I don't know what it is, are female gooners better looking than Spurs birds? C'mon you sexy Spurs fanettes, where are you?
I watched Spurs vs Arsenal at Highbury (on the Big screen), I went with my cousin who was a gooner; Spurs won 2-1, when Steffen Iversen scored I began chanting... Next thing I know 100's of Gooners are after me and I am trying to leave Highbury.
I think this is worthy of being shown: In 1996, me and my mates couldn't get tickets for the home match Vs the gooners. Then we heard that they were relaying the game over at H******y, so we all went and sat (very quietly) amongst them. The day turned out to be hilarious as we
won the game and we had to keep schtum until we were well away from the ground!!
