I have to confess that although I have been a lifelong Spurs fan there was a period in my life when a school friend of mine (who was always good at any sport he took part in) landed himself a place at Arsenal. Of course I was interested in how he was getting on. My mate was playing for a Premiership Football Club! I quietly took an interest whenever Arsenal were playing and it was good to see them doing well, for his sake of course. Luckily for me, not for him, it was proving hard work getting into the first team and after a stint at several clubs he is now at Gillingham and I can follow his career without feeling guilty! Oh, and the guy I'm talking about is Paul Shaw!
I was at the Spurs-Man U game a while back and my mate Dan Tab got really drunk and lost his ticket for the game and started crying like Gazza. Turns out his NAN stole it from him because he didnt take Sonny (his Dog) out for a walk. We have sent the picture off to a magazine now! Ha Ha
My best mate, an A*****l fan, offered me a freebie to see them play wimbledon at their's. I sat in the north bank, but found it difficult not to wet myself when Vinnie Jones scored right in front of us. Wimbledon went on to win 1-0, and only one of us was laughing on the way home. He hasn't talked about it to this day. ha ha
