Confession from Andrew Dixon, London
I have only recently become a Spurs supporter as I used to support... Manchester Utd (holds head in shame).
There, I said it.
I know I am a disgrace but I have a good reason. When I was four or so my cousin gave me his old Man Utd shirt and I asked my mum what team it was, she told me, and I just supported them.
Deep down I never enjoyed supporting them, it just ran in the family, but one day I moved to Holloway (Arsenal territory) and my stepdad said lets go to Tottenham vs Brentford.
I agreed, and as I stepped into the Lane I had a sudden thought - man… this is my team! The atmosphere was buzzing and the stadium wasn’t even full. Although it wasn't a great game, I fell in love with the club straight away and haven’t looked back since.
I attended about six games last season and I am getting a season ticket this year and, I am telling you, I have been to Old Trafford to see Man Utd and it is no where near as good as going to the Lane.
It will be even better next season with Teddy back. Shame about Sol though, all the fans love him and he will be deeply missed.
P.S. forgive me for wasting 15 years of my life.
