But the goalkeeper will also be fully aware that following Friday's results, France can take a huge step towards automatic qualification for the 2014 World Cup Finals with victory at the Stade de France.

France's captain, Hugo earned his 45th cap in a 3-1 win against Georgia on Friday.

At the same time, Spain were held to a surprise draw at home by Finland in Gijon.

It means if France win tonight, they will move five points clear at the top of Group I.

Speaking before joining up with the squad, Hugo gave us his thoughts on the biggest match of this round of European qualifying.

"We drew away to Spain (in October) which was a great result but of course it will be difficult in this game, they are a top team with some fantastic players who can play fantastic football if you let them," he said.

"We have a chance to win the match and maybe we will get it but we will have to play well.

"We have a lot of young players with great potential and we have done well in the first half of the season.

"This is a qualifying game though, every point is very important for us in our aim to qualify for the World Cup, so we want to come through these two games with maximum points if we can."
