After a fine win at Southampton on Sunday, we now face West Brom at the Lane on Boxing Day (3pm) followed by Stoke City at home on Sunday (4pm).
Emmanuel Adebayor netted twice and Jos Hooiveld scored an own goal as we came from 1-0 down to lead 2-1 and then recover again from Saints’ equaliser to win 3-2 at St Mary’s.
Hugo was impressed with the ‘collective’ display in the second half.
“When you play against Southampton away they are a very good team, this season they have played good football and we were strong,” said Hugo.
“After the first goal, we continued to believe. Ade scored a fantastic goal to keep us in the game and in the second half we did the job all together to get the three points.
“We showed a lot of positive things for the future.
“It was important to win because now we have two games at home to try to make the difference and try come back into the top four.
“We have to continue (this form) and work together because the Christmas period is very important.”
