Assistant manager Chris often spoke about the importance of away form last season as we won six and drew six of our 19 matches on the road on the way to fifth place in the Premiership.
But it's been a struggle to find that form this time around and last weekend's defeat at Reading made it no wins and four defeats in six away games in the Premiership so far.
Chris commented: "There is no doubt if you look back over the last couple of years we've improved in our performances and we're closer away from home than we've been in the past - but we have to pick up again this season.
"We were far better last season than we have been for a number of years and we put such value on picking up results away from home because they are so hard to come by and over the years it's been such a problem.
"We always know and realise that we have a great chance of winning most of our home games - we've such a great stadium, a fabulous crowd behind us and a certain amount of that takes care of itself.
"We put an emphasis on performances away from home and it's something we have to put right, starting at Blackburn this weekend."
Chris Hughton is determined to see an upturn in our fortunes away from home - starting against Blackburn at Ewood Park on Sunday.
