Chris feels that the Portuguese international striker has the tools and ability to shape his game to the demands of the Premiership.
"I think the difficulty in describing him is that he has got to adjust to the English game," pondered Chris. "How he will be in our game is up to us to determine.
"You see lads that play a particular type of game abroad and it changes when they come. He is certainly a lively player though, a lively player around the box.
"I think it would be fair to say that he is not really an old fashioned type of centre-forward - by that I mean a big target man type. He has good receiving skills and is someone you can play the ball into and he will retain possession as well."
Chris, who has personally scouted Postiga, is delighted that the 20-year-old is now on board.
"He is a very good player. Helder is a lad that has got a very good record for a young player and is very much a goalscorer.
"He does a lot of good work in the box and the fact that he is young is certainly a big bonus for us."
First team coach Chris Hughton explained that descriptions or comparisons of Helder Postiga's game are difficult until he has adapted to English football.
