We contest the Capital Cup against DC- a new trophy being established as part of a plan to match clubs from capital cities worldwide in friendly competition. The MLS outfit were the visitors to the Lane for the Tottenham Tribute Match back in October.
This game has been organised with the assistance of Spurs legend Jurgen Klinsmann - who played again at the Lane in that match - and his company Soccer Solutions. The German hero will present the trophy at the end of the match.
As well as the match, our itinerary includes a series of coaching seminars in and around Washington, D.C.
Looking ahead to the game, Newcastle-born Hudson believes that we'll be after revenge following DC's 1-0 win at the Lane in the Tribute match.
He insisted: "We know that the big, bad wolf is coming this time!
"It was a privilege to play against those Spurs legends but we know all the big guns are coming this time. I'm sure it will be a bit of a payback.
"Our players are anticipating a game against a team of Tottenham's stature and will use it as a measuring stick.
"It is a real honour and we get a real kick from playing against the superstars who we watch on satellite television every week.
"Tottenham Hostpur are one of the giants of world football and, as I said, it's a privilege for us."
DC United boss Ray Hudson claims his side are expecting 'the big, bad wolf' at the RFK Stadium on Wednesday - and that it will be a privilege for the Major League Soccer outfit to host Spurs.
