The re-working of the Chas ‘n’ Dave classic from 1987 was released last week and has received an incredible response.

The collaboration of Darryl Taylor and friends has become the number one ‘Mover and Shaker’ on the Amazon charts, as well as gaining a place among the iTunes chart Top 40 pop songs. Meanwhile, the official video has had nearly 90,000 views on YouTube.

All proceeds from the sales of the song are going to the Tottenham Tribute Trust, an organisation dedicated to serving the needs of former Spurs stars who find themselves in a situation that compromises their quality of life.

So let’s continue to get behind this fantastic effort and keep ‘Hot Shot Tottenham 2015’ climbing the charts ahead of Sunday’s game.

The track is available to download on iTunes for just 59p and will feature in the Club’s #SpursAtWembley Spotify playlist which forms part of our official cup final toolkit.

You can now download the single via the following channels:

Darryl Taylor, of Ledley and The Kings, said: “We would like to thank everyone that has bought the track so far; the support that we have had has been amazing. As lifelong Spurs fans who don’t have a musical bone in our bodies, we still can’t believe that what started as a laugh back in December has turned into the club’s cup song, has entered the official UK charts and is raising money for a fantastic charity in the Tottenham Tribute Trust!

“If you haven’t downloaded the track already then please do so; all of the profits go to the TTT which supports former players and staff connected with Spurs who have fallen on difficult times and without whom, we might not be at Wembley this weekend!

“Thanks must also go out to Nik Hodges and Chas ‘n’ Dave and everyone at the club that has made this a possibility.”

The Tottenham Tribute Trust is an organisation dedicated to serving the needs of former Spurs stars who find themselves in a situation that compromises their quality of life. It is an organisation that reaches out to members of the Spurs family who are fighting hard times either financially, medically or both and is dedicated to making sure that no former Spurs player is forgotten.

At Tottenham Hotspur, we have been privileged to witness a glittering array of football legends and heroes, who have helped create a history and football tradition that we can be proud of. However, some of these players graced the field at a time when the financial rewards were poor and sacrifices were great. These individuals now need our help and others, maybe even heroes and legends of the more recent past, will need our help in the years to come.

Through fund-raising events and generous donations, the Tottenham Tribute Trust has already been able to help a variety of legends such as Les Allen, Eddie Baily, Ted Ditchburn, Tommy Harmer and Bobby Smith.
