Clive Allen's young team can now look forward to a quarter-final on Sunday after a successful day at the Hong Kong International Soccer 7s.We were pitched in Group B along with PSV Eindhoven, Sheffield Football Club and local side Kitchee and proceedings began at 10.06am local time with the temperature already at 30 degrees.

Kitchee were the first opponents of the day and the boys were two goals to the good before half-time in the 14 minute encounter, with the goals coming from Lee Barnard. Andy Barcham completed the scoring in the second half.

Sheffield were next and a Jacques Maghoma strike before half-time settled the contest before we came up against a strong PSV team with both sides already having qualified for the quarter-finals of the main tournament.

It was a game of two penalties with PSV taking the lead from the spot on 10 minutes. Jamie O'Hara won a penalty and successfully struck himself to level in the final minute.

Our quarter-final opponents will come from Group C, which includes Kaizer Chiefs from South Africa and Celtic.
