Heurelho Gomes is delighted we're kicking-off next season on home soil.
We will play Liverpool in a mouth-watering opener scheduled for Saturday, August 15 at White Hart Lane. All fixtures are subject to change.
The popular goalkeeper is currently with the Brazil squad on FIFA Confederations Cup duty in South Africa but knew all about facing the likes of Torres, Gerrard and Kuyt when we caught up with him exclusively on Wednesday evening.
"I looked at all the fixtures on the internet and our game against Liverpool looks like the best of the opening weekend," he said.
"I think it's better to start at home than to start away.
"I always say our supporters are our 12th man, they help us so much. There is nothing better than when they are singing your name and we are determined to start better than last season.
"I hope we can win the first game for confidence. If we played any team and won it would be great but if we do that against a team like Liverpool, it's even better for us.
"We have many quality players here, a great group, and I'm very excited about next season."
Meanwhile, Gomes was hoping to see some action in the Confederations Cup as Brazil prepare to face USA in their second match on Thursday night (June 18).
He was on the bench - Inter Milan's Julio Cesar is the current number one - as Brazil beat Egypt 4-3 in their opener.
Brazil will book their place in the semi-finals with a win at the Loftus Versfield Stadium in Pretoria. They face Italy in the final group game on Sunday.
