Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle could not hide his delight over the capture of Helder Postiga - a player he describes as 'one of the brightest prospects in Europe'.

Helder was unveiled at White Hart Lane this morning and Glenn feels that the striker has many elements to his game. He has just enjoyed a successful season for Porto, with the team winning a domestic double and the UEFA Cup.

"We would like to welcome Helder here - it is a fantastic signing for us," beamed Glenn, who revealed that he has been tracking the player for some time. "We are delighted to have him here.

"We spotted him about 14 months ago as we have been looking at young players across Europe. We have monitored him and, as I say, we are absolutely delighted to get such a super young player and one of the brightest prospects in Europe.

"It bodes well for the future of Tottenham as well as the impact he can have for us now.

"He's a striker that has got a little bit of everything. The age of him was interesting for us. It is a lot of money in the current transfer market but we think it is worth it.

"His potential is there for everyone to see. The important thing is we've got to realise that Helder is a young man and he's played for the last two seasons as the main striker at Porto.

"You've only got to see what Porto have done over the last two seasons - particularly this one just gone - and a lot of it was done to this lad up front.

"We are excited that he has come here for a fresh challenge at Tottenham."
