The South Korean star bagged two fine goals to help us to a convincing 4-0 victory against Watford in the Premier League.
He was determined to grab his first hat-trick in the Premier League as well and was presented with two late chances only to agonisingly miss both – placing a one-on-one just wide and then striking the crossbar.
He was then substituted and met by Mauricio on the touchline. “He just said ‘keep it for the next game’ because I had two great chances after scoring two goals and when I talk about it I’m still sad,” said Sonny, with a wry smile. “I just want to score a hat-trick in the Premier League. Maybe it will happen next week, I just have to be ready.
“Of course I’m very happy though because it was a good win, an important three points and we deserved it.
“Everyone can see that we help each other, we run for each other and we’re all hungry. We just want to keep going. We want to show our hunger and passion for the fans and for ourselves.”
