Heung-Min Son has been named Asian Football Confederation Asian International Player of the Year at the organisation's Annual Awards in New Delhi today (Sunday, November 29).

The 23-year-old South Korea international, who marked his 10th appearance for us in our goalless draw with Chelsea at White Hart Lane this afternoon, scored 17 goals for German side Bayer Leverkusen during the 2014-15 campaign before joining us back in August.

Having also played and scored at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, he has so far netted three goals in our colours and saw off competition from our former midfielder Massimo Luongo, currently of Queens Park Rangers, and Swansea City's Ki Sung-Yueng to claim the award.
