Steffen Freund insists he still can't believe it - but, as he predicted yesterday, Germany are in the World Cup Final.
Michael Ballack's late goal was enough to end co-hosts South Korea's amazing run as Germany edged a tense semi-final 1-0.
Rudi Voller's men will now play the winners of this afternoon's Turkey versus Brazil semi-final in Sunday's final.
Capped 17 times by Germany, our midfield marauder Steffen reflected: "I said before the semi-final that I was sure Germany would beat South Korea.
"Germany are perhaps the one team that could beat the host nation like that. We like to play those games, we can fight and as a team we are very strong.
"I thought we played very well, very clever. We played a strong 4-4-2 and South Korea had very few chances. We looked capable of scoring and took our chance when we caught South Korea on the break.
"The loss of Michael Ballack for the final is difficult. As he showed against USA and South Korea, he has that ability to score a goal when it matters. He is a threat and will be missed.
"Certainly, if we play Brazil, we will need a player like Ballack. In a close game he can score a goal and that could be vital.
"If we play Turkey, we will be favourites and I think we will win. Against Brazil, they will be favourites. They have already proved they can handle being a goal behind, as they did against England, and they are very strong, very confident.
"I have to say it again, full compliments to the team. Most people couldn't believe they would get to the final and I have to be honest, I can't believe it now!"
