The Club has shown its support for Haven House Children's Hospice, Woodford Green, by helping promote the charity's upcoming fundraising event, The Pink Wellie Walk.

The event takes place on Sunday September 28 in association with leading women's network, The Pink Shoe Club, as part of Children's Hospice Week.

Participants will be sponsored to walk 5,000 steps, wearing decorated wellies, to raise funds for the Hospice. The walk will be taking place at 2 locations: Haven House grounds and St. James's Park, London.

Children and carers from the Hospice were invited to our Spurs Lodge training ground to meet Brazilian internationals Heurelho Gomes and Gilberto, as well as one of our latest signings, Cesar Sanchez.

First Team Coach Gus Poyet was also present to show his support: "We are always keen to support local causes and Haven House is a local hospice whose work with children is extremely commendable.

"We sincerely hope that The Pink Wellie Walk raises not only the funds necessary to aid such a good cause, but also the awareness of the work of Haven House."

Haven House is a charity providing holistic care for children with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions.

The services at Haven House include day care, overnight stays and end of life care. Children are cared for by specialist nurses, enabling their families to have a complete break from the demands of full time care. The holistic care philosophy at Haven House enables the children to live life to the full in a warm, fun and homely environment.

Further support is extended to the rest of the family through a number of other services including sibling support groups, counselling services, care in the community, and regular support groups for parents and carers.
