Harry Redknapp has been delighted with Giovani dos Santos' form in pre-season.
The popular forward has impressed since returning from a successful World Cup campaign with Mexico.
Gio scored in his first friendly action against Villarreal, set-up Gareth Bale's winner at Benfica and starred again as we overcame Fiorentina at the Lane on Saturday.
He was everywhere against the Italians on Saturday - he played left and right flanks, and then centrally behind Robbie Keane - and set up another goal, this time for Roman Pavlyuchenko.
Gio was shortlisted for FIFA's Hyundai Young Player Award alongside winner Thomas Mueller of Germany and Ghana's Andrew Ayew.
"He's come back from the World Cup in great form," said Harry.
"The World Cup will have done him the world of good and his attitude has been spot on.
"I've been pleased with him all pre-season.
"He's got outstanding ability, the ability to be a top, top player. He is clever, goes at defenders and has great close control.
"He's a nice lad, a young lad and there is a chance for him now. It's up to him."
Gio is currently with the Mexican squad for a friendly against world champions Spain at the Azteca on Wednesday night.
