Harry Redknapp paid tribute to the lads after completing a hat-trick of wins over the tough Christmas and New Year period.
Gareth Bale's deft header from Rafael van der Vaart's free-kick secured a hard-earned victory against a resolute Fulham side on New Year's Day.
That made it three wins in three after the 2-1 win at Villa on Boxing Day and 2-0 success over Newcastle on December 28 - both achieved with 10 men.
It also stretched our unbeaten run to 11 matches in all competitions.
The four-match festive period in the Premier League is completed with a trip to Everton on Wednesday night, January 5.
"It's been a fantastic week, nine points - you couldn't have asked for more than that over the tough Christmas period," said Harry.
"Nine points is a great return for us and keeps us right in amongst that top group.
"It was tough against Fulham, they played well and we had to scrap and fight for the win.
"I've said it a million times, there are no easy games in this league.
"I watched United at West Brom before our game, it was 1-1, West Brom missed a penalty and then United nicked it at the end.
"Every game is difficult, sometimes you have to tough it out and we did that, that's what you have to do if you want to be successful. You can't always rip teams apart. You have to work for every point.
"Three points are like gold dust, so to take nine this week is great for us."
