Harry Redknapp said he couldn't ask for more as we sit third in the Premier League on Christmas Day.
The squad has recovered superbly from defeats against the Manchester teams in our opening two matches of the season to take 35 from the next possible 42 points.
That includes a run of 10 wins in 11 matches as we equalled our best unbeaten sequence in the Premier League and number of successive wins.
It's also the highest we've been placed in the league at Christmas since 1984.
"It’s a fantastic start, 35 points at this stage of the season," said Harry.
"If you’d said that at the start of the season you would have jumped at it. It’s been an amazing start after losing the first two games.
"To come back as strong as we have, I couldn’t be more pleased with us.
"We’re looking forward to the second half the season and we’ve got to continue that form to stay in the top four, because all the teams in the top six are good teams, all difficult to beat.
"It will be a real scrap for those top four places."
