Harry Redknapp insisted we were full value for our 2-0 win at West Ham on Monday night.
Ledley King headed home the crucial opening goal after 67 minutes before Jamie O'Hara secured the three points in style with a cracker into the top corner in the final minute.
It was no less than we deserved after creating the better chances throughout - Roman Pavlyuchenko hit the post in the first half - although we were indebted to Heurelho Gomes for a double-save in the 89th minute with the lead still at a slender 1-0. Indeed, we broke from that heart-stopping moment to score the second goal.
The victory lifted us up to 15th in the Barclays Premier League, just two points from the top 10. "I'm delighted," stated Harry at Upton Park. "It was a big game for us - get beaten and we would suddenly find ourselves sitting there with 15 points and right amongst it all.
"We deserved to win. We created some great chances. Green made a save in the first minute and then another from Bentley, then Pavlyuchenko hit the post.
"I said at half-time that I wouldn't just take a point because I felt there was a win here for us. I thought that during the game - that if we upped it we could go on and win.
"We passed the ball well and it was a well-deserved win.
"It gives us all a lift, it moves us up the table and we can take confidence from the performance as well, we played well again."
