Harry targets 'fantastic' win

Harry Redknapp insists we'll give everything to overturn our 2-0 deficit against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Cup on Thursday night.

Two late goals cost us after a fine defensive display in the first leg of this last 32 tie in Ukraine last week.

Now we meet again on home soil with the winners taking on Aston Villa or CSKA Moscow - that game level at 1-1 after the first leg at Villa Park - in the last 16.

"If we can get through then great, it would be fantastic," said Harry.

"It would be great for the players if we could pull off a win and we'll be doing our best to do that.

"No-one was more disappointed than me when we were beaten 2-0 last week with two late goals having done very well, especially defensively."

Shakhtar impressed in their home leg and it's worth noting that they produced some fine results and performances in the Champions League - they remain the only side to win at Barcelona's Nou Camp this season and also beat Basel in the group stages.

"This is a good side," added Harry. "They were the unluckiest team not to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League and had the highest points of any team that didn't qualify.

"We can't underestimate them. They won in Barcelona, beat Basel 5-0 and were leading at home against Barcelona right until the end of the game. They are a good side."
