The young striker has hit the goal trail spectacularly this season with 20 goals already in all competitions.
As we continue to fight on three fronts, including reaching the final of Capital One Cup, Harry has become the first home-grown striker to hit 20 goals in a season since Mark Falco in the 1980s.
The highlight so far has been his performance against Chelsea on New Year’s Day when his two goals helped us to a memorable 5-3 victory at the Lane and he walked off to his song ‘he’s one of our own…’ ringing around the stadium.
“The Chelsea game on New Year’s Day was probably the loudest I’ve heard it and it was an emotional night, a very good night and hopefully there are more to come,” he said.
“The semi-final at Sheffield was another I won’t forget. The fans were incredible, really sung their hearts out and when we scored the second goal, the eruption was amazing.
“I’d love the fans to keep singing my name and hopefully I’ll continue to do well on the pitch and we’ll continue to do well as a team.”
Harry, still only 21, made his breakthrough last season and was rewarded with a new contract in August. Back then, he told of his aim to ‘get some games, score some goals’ – it’s safe to say it’s a case of so far, so good!
“It’s been a great six months,” he added. “I’ve been really pleased with how things have gone. This (contract) is another stepping stone and hopefully now I’ll push on again from this and get even better.”
That’s the key to Harry’s success – one step at a time – and he’s taken his chance at every level since the first day he stepped into our Academy in 2005.
“All you can do as a footballer is try to get better and better and that’s what I aim to do, to get better, score more goals and play better for the team,” he added. “I’m really looking forward to the rest of the season.
“I’m only 21 and I’ve a lot of football ahead of me. I’ll keep my feet on the ground and keep working hard for the team and for the club.
“I’ve been at Spurs since I was 11 and always loved the club. I’ve been here 10 years now and hopefully there are many more good times to come.”
