50 up for Harry - and he wants more...

Harry Kane notched two more Spurs milestones in one clinical strike to rescue an FA Cup replay against Leicester - and he’s determined they are just the latest of many landmarks in his blossoming career.

Harry’s late penalty took him to 50 goals in a Spurs shirt in just 104 appearances and marked his first FA Cup goal for the club as it ended 2-2 against the Foxes at the Lane.

We will now replay at the King Power Stadium on a provisional date of Tuesday week (January 19) – the third time we’ll play Claudio Ranieri’s men in the space of nine days as we prepare to face them again in the Premier League at the Lane on Wednesday night.

The penalty arrived in the nick of time as we’d banged our head against Leicester’s defensive brick wall thoughout - 73% possession, 24 efforts at goal - only to trail 2-1 going into the last minute.

Harry’s spot-kick flew into the corner and although Kasper Schmeichel guessed the right way, there was no saving it!

“I knew I was going to go that way,” said Harry. “I didn’t want to change my mind, I went with that, put my foot through it and was great to see it hit the back of the net.

“I was delighted to see it go in and delighted to score my 50th. It’s a good achievement but hopefully it’s the first 50 of many and I want to go on and get 100, 150 and so on. That’s what I’m looking to do and I’ll keep on working hard.”

Harry on the game…

We want to go far in this competition and obviously being 2-1 down, we had to try and change it. I’m very happy to score the penalty and get the 2-2 and now we play them again.

Harry on Leicester’s resolute defence…
“They defend well and  they’ve done it in the Premier League all season as well, so as soon as they went 2-1 up we knew it was going to be tough and that we would have to be patient and we were. I thought we created some good chances and finally got the breakthrough towards the end.”

Harry on facing the Foxes again at the Lane in the Premier League on Wednesday night…
“I think it will be a different game in the Premier League. Both teams are near the top of the table so we’re looking forward to that one. This was a little taster and now we play them Wednesday and the week after as well. We’ll have seen enough of them by then! Hopefully we’ll take some points off them.”
