Harry, 24, who joined our ‘100 Club’ by scoring goals 100 and 101 in our fine 3-0 win at Everton on Saturday, underlined the feeling of wanting to put right last season’s campaign when our return to Champions League football ended with us third in the group.

“Last season didn’t go as well as we wanted so since then, we’ve been waiting for this moment to try to do better,” he said after training on Tuesday. “It will be an amazing atmosphere and we can’t wait to get out there.

“If we want to be seen as one of the best teams in Europe we have to perform on the big stage and the Champions League definitely is that.

“We have to try to improve and try to get better as a team and these are the games we all want to be playing in and winning - the big games on the big stage. We have to try to perform to our best and try to win.”

Look out for more from Harry Kane and new signing Davinson Sanchez on our Champions League opener tomorrow...
