How times change for Harry in Huddersfield

Indeed, how times change in a month! Harry was reminded at every turn how he hadn’t scored in August after drawing a blank last month but he hit back with a bang in September, racking up 11 goals (13 including his double for England) including seven (and his first Champions League hat-trick) during a week where we’ve won three out of three on the road.

Back to February 26, 2011 and Harry scored but was then sent off after receiving a second yellow card in a 2-2 draw between Huddersfield and Leyton Orient in League One. He was on loan at Orient at the time.

“I was 17. I got a sloppy yellow card in the first half, then I scored and then in the second half...it was never a yellow to be honest,” he recalled.

“It was a learning curve for me. I felt much better walking off the pitch this time around! Last time they booed me off! A lot has changed, all in a good way. I used that experience.”

This time around, Harry scored our first and third of a rapid-fire three goals in 15 minutes in the first half. Ben Davies expertly finished the second. Harry then had a goal ruled out for offside and Dele hit the post as it stayed 3-0 until injury time when Moussa Sissoko struck his first Spurs goal for the fourth.

That made it wins at West Ham, APOEL and Huddersfield in a week and seven successive victories on the road including six in the Premier League, a Club record for successive away wins in Premier League action.

“We said we had to come out with energy and get that early goal because Huddersfield have had a great start to the season, they are an energetic team and we did that perfectly,” added Harry.

“We came out flying, had early chances and kicked on from there. Once we went 3-0 up it was a matter of seeing the game out.

“It’s been a good month, probably one of the best I’ve had as a professional and a great month for the team. To be fair, it’s a shame it’s ending!”
