Harry Redknapp described Niko Kranjcar's return to action against Shamrock Rovers as 'fantastic'.
The silky midfielder stepped into a central role as we toppled the Airtricity League champions 4-0 in our final group game in the Europa League at Tallaght Stadium on Thursday night.
Unfortunately, the win wasn't enough to see us progress to the knockout stages as PAOK and Rubin Kazan drew in Greece, ruling out any slight chance we had of making it through.
Niko's return was one of a number of positives for the manager in Dublin.
"Niko Kranjcar was fantastic," said Harry. "That was his first game for a couple of months and he only had two days' training but played the full 90 minutes.
"He's a great footballer and he will play in the Croatian team that faces the Irish in the Euro finals.
"There were some positives and I was really pleased with a couple of the young lads.
"I thought Andros Townsend did ever so well, young Harry Kane came on and Yago Falque got some experience. Tom Carroll didn't get on but he has had a great campaign in this tournament, so it's been good for him.
"Jake Livermore also did well at centre-half despite being a midfielder, he did a good job."
