David Pleat was hugely impressed with Fredi Kanoute's cameo performance against Manchester City - one which resulted in another goal for the returning striker.
The brilliant frontman has now netted eight times this injury-interupted season and the caretaker boss was delighted with his 15-minute contribution against City after six weeks out following an ankle injury sustained in the win at Leicester.
"I'm thrilled for him because I thought, regardless of the goal, his movement, heading and passing was superb.
"I think his 15 minutes on the pitch would make a nice little video piece showing what he is about.
"He looked quite quick and his return was a big lift for us," added David, who also had the bonus of Helder Postiga scoring his first senior goal for the club.
"Goals breed confidence in strikers and hopefully there is good competition and he'll go on. You need early goals to take the pressure off the defenders."
