And the reason behind the skipper's smile is simple - fitness.
Jamie is enjoying his best spell at the club having featured in our last 11 games of last season, starting eight, completing a full pre-season and starting seven of our eight games so far this term.
"On a personal note it is nice to be fit, it really is," said Jamie. "I've had a lot of trouble as everyone knows but hopefully things will stay this way this season.
"When I first joined I had a good start, scored a couple of goals but then I broke my foot which was a real killer because at that time I felt really good and we were doing well in the league.
"I finished the last few games of last season and I've played in seven of the eight games this season. I like the way the team is progressing, we're looking better and better so hopefully we can keep that going.
"I'm enjoying it. The squad's good, the training is very good and I'm enjoying everything about it.
"I'm doing everything I can to stay fit because I think we can progress and start to move in the right direction."
Jamie Redknapp wears a contented smile around Spurs Lodge at the moment - he hopes is stays there all season.
