Half-term coaching - don't miss out

Posted on 22 October 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Our Football in the Community scheme will again be running our popular coaching courses this coming half-term.

Open to boys and girls at various local venues, including special day sessions at White Hart Lane, coaching is delivered by our team of FA qualified community coaches and is fantastic fun for all young football enthusiasts.

During the summer holidays literally thousands of children attended our courses, including Danny Clark - aged nine - from Potters Bar. A big football fan, Danny is becoming a bit of a regular at FITC's holiday courses - having attended his first course last year. He enjoyed it so much he came back for a summer course at Mount Grace School, Potters Bar.

"Football is the main sport I play," explained Danny, who will again be joining up at half-term. "I wanted to learn more skills so I could become a better player. That is the main reason why I came on the Spurs course. I come back because I learn a lot."

"The best thing about the courses is the football games the coaches play with us - they're really fun. There's Football Cricket and Football Rounders. You kick the ball instead of batting it. It's really fast with lots of running and kicking."

Would Danny recommend the Holiday Soccer Schools to other children?

"Definitely. I want to go on another course too but next time I'm going to bring some more of my friends!"
