Half century for Scope

Posted on 15 March 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The Charity 'Scope' is turning 50 in 2002 and to celebrate has organised a 'Celebrity Memorabilia Challenge'. Tottenham Hotspur donated a 'unique experience', where the auction winner can watch the 1st Team train at the Training Ground on the 28th March.

Steffen Freund presented the gift voucher to Scope organiser, Saul Annett on Thursday 7th March at the training ground. The auction will be promoted on Talk Sport Radio throughout next week, 18th to 21st March, with the auction taking place at Old Trafford on Thursday 21st March.

All the proceeds will fund Scope's work with disabled children in and around Tottenham.

Scope is a national disability organisation whose focus is people with cerebral palsy. Scope's aim is that disabled people achieve equality - a society in which they are as valued, and have the same human and civil rights, as everyone else.
