In the game of the season, we will try to overturn a 2-1 deficit against the Blues in the second leg of the Worthington Cup semi-final at the Lane.
Ex-Chelsea midfield Gus knows all about the record between the clubs and insists this could be the moment we've all been waiting for.
"It is a big game for everyone," said Gus. "It is a great opportunity. I don't think in the last 10 years Spurs have had a chance to play a game like this against Chelsea.
"We all know the problems we've had in the last few years but here is the opportunity to put everything right in one game.
"We can win, go through and get to a final. I am confident in this team and I believe we can win this game."
In-form Gus, rested at the weekend, is expected to come into the starting line-up at the Lane.
He insists if it was a European tie, we'd be happy with our position. "If it was the second leg of a European game we would be happy 2-1 down.
"But every time we play Chelsea the everyone talks about 25, 26 games and all these things, so it looks bad.
"In every cup in the world, if you play two legs and play the first leg away and lose 2-1, it's not bad.
"It was a very important goal from Les and now it's up to us to do the work at home.
"It could all change in one goal, just one goal, one chance - if we win 1-0 it doesn't matter if it's the first minute or last minute. This is a great opportunity to finish it all against Chelsea and go through to a final."
