Gus Poyet says the most important thing after Wednesday's setback against Burnley is the reaction of the team as a group against Sunderland.
The midfielder also states that taking something from the Stadium of Light on Sunday is particularly important as it is the first of two successive away games in the Premiership.
"It is a big game on Sunday for many reasons," said Gus. "After getting only one point at home against Chelsea we now have to play two games away from home - so it is important to get something from the game.
"It's going to be nice to see the reaction of the team. That is very important for us as a team and as a group."
Gus netted his first goal of the season against Burnley on Wednesday, but that particular fact is of little consolation to him at present.
After missing the opening stages of the campaign following knee surgery, Gus got back on the goal trail in the 17th minute at Turf Moor. However, it is not a game that he lookes back on with any satisfaction.
"That is my feeling at the moment. Like I've said before, I doesn't matter whether I score or not, we want to win and go through in these cup games.
"Yes, I started scoring, but I think about winning rather than my scoring record."
